Little buckaroo blankets

Last week I made four "little buckaroo" blankets for my friend Amber who is having quads. You can follow her blog and her quad journey here. I made a ruffle blanket, using a red bandana print for the ruffle, black minky dot on one side and black silk on the other. Then of course, I had to make a card to go with it and a bag to match.

I also made a cute quick tag to go with the blankets, I just googled an image to use since my gypsy died on me and I have to reload all my cartridges. I distressed the edges with my tim holtz distress tool and inked the edges. I then put it on a brown tag that I ran through my vertical embossing tool.

The little buckaroo embroidery file I got from etsy. To make the sign for the bag I just right clicked the picture from the etsy site and printed it to make a quick little tag to match.

The card I think turned out super cute. I used the Teresa Collins Baby Boutique Cricut Imagine Cartridge. To cut out the welcome mat and the baby carriage. I then added buttons to the wheels and a cute charm. To go with the theme I added black burlap and the red bandana ruffle trim I made.

Blankets for triplets

I went to hobby lobby to select my fabrics. My shopping cart was full! I just love shopping for fabric! As I was about to head to get it cut a lady stopped me and asked what I was making I had such beautiful fabric. She was a little shocked when I told her blankets for triplets.

I sent these pics to Mary told her which set I had planned for the girls she texted back the same as I was thinking too. Lol

Fabric ready to start sewing. I was going to take pictures of the process but I was in a time crunch and forgot. But I'll be making more soon so stay tuned.

Sewing the names on.

Blankets halfway done ruffles attached.

I used minky dot on one side silk on the other with a cotton ruffle.

Altered canvas for mom

For moms "grandma shower" I made her a canvas scrapbook layout she can display.

I used various flowers from my stash and some vintage jewelry.

I made a dangle charm and attached it to a glass flower

I used part of a zipper to add more flair. This zipper is special as it came off an outfit from Lana's first year that mom had gave her.

Supplies I used.

The outfit I got the zipper from. I saved the outfits I liked most from Lana's first year to make a quilt which I have yet to start ad she is almost 6. Lol
